What is Tirta Empul Temple?
Tirta Empul Temple is located in Manukaya Village, near the town of Tampaksiring.
The temple sits just below the Tampaksiring Presidential Palace.
As you enter the temple, you first pass through a large traditional Balinese stone gate and arrive at the outer courtyard.
Moving into the inner courtyard, you reach the main temple area.
Here, local Balinese people and Hindu worshippers line up along a series of water fountains in the purification ritual known as Melukat, bowing their heads under each spout.
Bathing begins at the first fountain on the left, where participants step into the pool up to their waist.
After cleansing themselves under one spout, they move on to the next in sequence.
This process continues until they have purified themselves under each fountain.
However, there are two specific fountains that are reserved exclusively for rituals related to the deceased.
These are strictly forbidden for use by the living during the Melukat purification ritual.

* As this is a sacred temple, women who are menstruating are not permitted to enter.
In such cases, please inform your driver, and you can be guided to an alternative location.
* If you wish to experience the purification ritual, please bring:
swimwear, a change of clothes, a towel, and a plastic bag.
A donation of 5,000 IDR is required for the sarong used during the ritual.
* Entrance fee: 50,000 IDR

プラティルタエンプル聖水寺とは
プラティルタエンプル聖水寺は、タンパクシリングの町の近くのマヌカヤ村に位置しています。寺院はタンパクシリングの大統領官邸のすぐ下。
寺院に入るとすぐに、大きな石のバリ式の門を歩き、寺の外庭に到着します。
中庭に入ると、寺院の主要エリア。地元のバリ人とヒンズー教徒は、プールの長い列に立って、メラカットと呼ばれる浄化儀式で水の噴出口の下に頭を下ろしています。
入浴する人は、左側にある最初の水噴出口の下で腰にまでプールに浸かり開始します。彼らが最初の噴射口の下で自分自身をきれいにすると、次の列に加わります。このプロセスは、各水域の下で清浄になるまで続きます。
